Once in the campground and setting up we found the sites to appear more level than the really are and be quite uneven so bring lots of leveling blocks. Unless you get the premium 50amp sites by the river the eletric is only 20amps and not the standard 30amps so I hope you brought an adapter. Plan your electric use well or you'll be resetting the circuit breaker frequently. The wifi is a little temperamental but when it works its good enough to watch a video if that's your thing.

This campground is attractive in several ways. It is pleasing to the eye, right on a small river, direct ATV trail access and it's cheap. That's it.

The staff (the owner as I later found out) was far less than friendly. We came up to ride ATVs and brought our toy hauler rv. One ATV was in our truck and another in the toy hauler. They DO NOT under any circumstances allow ATVs in the campground. They provide an unsecured area to keep them in. So you must unload all ATVs before going into the campground. I was not so nicely told that there were no exceptions (even though the process in counter to common sense) which meant having to bring our whole rig into the ATV storage area (called the "coral"), unload one from the toy hauler (no big deal), unhitch, unload the other from the truck, re-hitch, drive into the campground set up and unhitch again and then repeat the whole process upon departure. What a PIA, especially with a large trailer as it is a process to hitch and unhitch them. It is time consuming and inconvenient to sat the least. We asked if we could park the trailer first and then then bring the other ATV over later (without it leaving the truck of course) but that was met with a firm and unpleasant "NO!".

Very quiet and peaceful place. Campground doesn't have any area activities for horse shoe or games, so make sure to bring everything to keep yourself entertained. If you want a hot shower make sure to get up early 7am or wait until later in day. Otherwise, very basic, clean and easy drive to local sites, hikes, ATVing and lakes. On site Restaurant with 5 star quality buffet. Very affordable and lots of variety.

Great place to stay for ATV trips.

Not bad for what's in the area. Visited for brunch.... Lots of choices, very good. Visited for dinner for fish and chips night. Fish delish, but place is dirty. The vinegar carafe looked like it was never cleaned, I would not even pick it up and worse, the container of tarter sauce was filthy and caked with old sauce around the top. Gross. This place needs a really good cleaning and it would do much better!

Booked the bunkhouse without any mention of it being the same building as the campground community bathhouse. Luckily upon arrival I asked to view the bunkhouse. In the short time I was inside the toilets could clearly be flushing and conversations could overheard clear as day. When I told the staff I was not interested because of these issues I was VERY rudely told that the website pictures clearly show that the bathhouse and bunkhouse are one (absolutely does NOT). Also, with a very snotty attitude on the staffs behalf I was told I would be getting charged for 1 night regardless if I were to stay or not.

Detailed account of events...

I would like to pull the pics from the site and add them here but apparently right now their website is down.

Not impressed. Short and sweet.... extremely rude staff, bait and switch on the bunkhouse, terrible bunkhouse rental, money stolen by establishment.

We had an issue on the trail with one of our ATVs breaking severely and it was inoperable. It was an ordeal to get it out of the woods and then on to our truck. When we returned we asked since it was completely inoperable and not so easy to get off and on the truck if we could just leave it. I got a firm and impolite "No! No exceptions!" Not a polite "sorry this happened to you but we can't make exceptions" I get why she has this policy but to enforce it with an attitude is uncalled for. She had zero people skills and is not customer friendly in the least. It's not what you say but how you say it. A little decency goes a long way. We won't be back thanks mostly to her attitude. The rest we could deal with if she was at least nice. There are other ATV friendly campgrounds in the Ride The Wilds area with direct trail access and with more reasonable rules. We'll try anywhere else next time.
